Simon and Lauren, with a rich background of a decade in wine-making in France's Cahors region and over forty vintages in nine countries, have launched their New Zealand wine label 'A Thousand Gods'. Their mission is to craft wines that are distinctively theirs, embodying the essence of their origins while offering a unique twist.
In partnership with a biodynamic grower in Marlborough's Waihopai Valley, they embrace meticulous vineyard practices, selecting only hand-picked grapes for wild fermentation. Eschewing additives, fining, or filtration, they nurture their wines to express generosity and accessibility, alongside complexity and potential for aging, aligning with the principles of natural wine.
