Will Bowman: "BioGro certified and biodynamically farmed Pinot Noir from the Netherwood vineyard. It's really special for me to be able to use this fruit as I am part of the team that helps farm it through the year. 36-year-old mass selection vines that are dry farmed. Harvested and put straight into a stainless VC as whole-bunch. Fermented for 12 days with a gentle foot crush on the 7th, 10th and 11th day. Basket pressed directly to an old barrique and a small stainless VC. Racked into VC two weeks before bottling. Hand bottled without any alterations.
Curry leaf and olive leaf roll into violets and roasted cherries and plum and maple. Waxy, tight, fine-grained with tart plum, and red berries. It's quite gentle but also quite spirited.
Named after my new niece, who was born just before the wine was bottled. Endlessly excited to see her grow and it feels fitting that each year there is a Pinot Noir that tries its hardest to be a fraction as elegant and cool as she is."
