Will Bowman: "BioGro certified Riesling from Greystone and BioGro certified and biodynamically farmed Pinot Noir from Netherwood vineyard. Whole-bunch riesling was topped with direct-pressed riesling in a VC, just like with the Zoe Riesling. After fermenting for 4 days, I added 4 buckets of Pinot Noir skins and stems straight from the basket after pressing the Nina Pinot. The thinking was that there was still some aromatic goodness in them as well as that vibrant whole-bunch colour. Fermented for a further two days before being basket pressed back into a stainless VC. It stayed in VC before being hand bottled without any alterations.
Campari-esque herbs and spices with fresh strawberries, cranberries, raspberries and lots of wild woody herbs that seem to bring up images of a windblown, herb-ridden Cycladic island hillside. Taught and bright acidity with strawberries and lime juice and salt. Keeps telling us it is the ultimate aperitif.
Named after our dog, who like the wine, was very intriguing and a touch worrying in it's youth, and is now full of energy and frisk."
