A 3x2 Six pack of some great Helles style lagers that got released this year. Two cans each from McLeods, Bootleg, and Zeelandt. Helles Yeah, we like lagers.
McLeods Helles Export:
A nod to the classic Bavarian style, our Helles rings true to its pale strong Lager roots with soft biscuit-like malts and a dry, slightly sweet finish over hints of herbaceous hops. Brewed cold and conditioned for several weeks, we'll be drinking this with everything off the grill and so should you.

Zeelandt Jerry Rig
Helles is a blonde lager and is the style most commonly found in Munich’s famous beer halls. This lager has a juicy malt profile with medium to low hop bitterness. ABV 5.0%. Not known for their humility, it was an unpleasant surprise to Germany when someone other than Germany made a good beer. A German response to the rise of “that foreign pilsner” was therefore both necessary and urgent for the mental well-being of the entire nation. Helles, a golden lager in a similar vein, but with a smoother, mellower finish was the end result and probably stopped another inconvenient European land war so that was good.
