Vermouth is a wine that is aromatized and fortified by maceration in alcohol with herbs and spices (leaves, flowers, roots, bark, etc.). These include Artemisia wormwood, known by most people as absinthe, which gives the basic bitter (or “amaricante”) notes; without the presence of artemisia wormwood the aromatized wine cannot be called “vermouth”. It’s made up of 75% white or red wine of Italian origin (in accordance with the Vermouth di Torino Protected Geographical Indication – IGP – rules), to which burnt sugar or grape-must for sweetening, alcohol for stabilizing and a selection of botanicals are added. The alcohol proof strength is between 14.5 and 22 depending on whether it’s white, red, rosé, dry or extra dry.
I bought a pair of the tulip stemmed glasses and a selection of beers as a gift for my nephew's 21st birthday and he loved it! The service was great and would definitely use them again!
My colleague loves, among others, Hazy Ales. As his farewell gift I decided to buy, online, a selection of beers from the Beer Library.
Online purchasing was a breeze with the ability to select products by style with current stock levels and quantity of purchase options in some cases.
I was emailed that the collection of my dozen or so beers was available after only a couple of hours. All were chilled when collected.
All in all a great experience for online purchase and collection
The Beer Library is my go too when sorting gifts for the family. They have a great range, good information and reasonable prices. The goods always get to the destination on time and in good nik.
