Inspired by beer we found travelling overseas, Southpaw brings flavour home. We blend this with local, fresh ingredients and share this inspiration in New Zealand with our unique beers. We came together with this idea in mind when we brewed our first beer in 2016. Our flagship American Pale Ale with a combination of NZ and US hops called Uncle Charlie. Since that time we have grown steadily, adding new beers, both seasonally and in our core line-up, while sticking to our core values of integrity and passion with every brew. We have won awards for many beers at the Brewers’ Guild NZ Beer Awards, including a gold medal for our Red IPA, Riding Pine. In 2019 we stepped up our production by buying our own 1200L brewery. We hope that this brewery will allow for more flexibility and more output, so more people can enjoy the beer we love making.

Loved the variety

Smooth and flavorsome

This is a well made beer with a smooth and well integrated chocolate , coffee and caramel combination of flavours. Just the right amount of sweetness offset by the oaty and malty back flavours. Well worth trying.

Superb Gin

Not being a Gin drinker I was pleasantly surprised with the taste, however the morning after I suffered. Probably should have stopped at halfway lol

Goes down just nicely

Brought for a friend, absolutely loves it. Gors down nice and smoothly. Will buy again
